Auckland – Hong Kong – London

Hong Kong Airport - Gate 60

I embarked on the longest trip across the world on Friday 3rd March. I flew from Auckland to Hong Kong and then onto London.

It is the first time I have ever been to London and despite being extremely shattered I am very excited.

It is nearly midnight on Saturday 4th here and I have had quite a bit of sleep and now I am wide awake.

I am not a huge fan of flying and I was dreading the flights somewhat. Flying when overweight is not the easiest thing and I was panicking a little. The first flight was via Air NZ which was great and then the second with Cathy Pacific. I honestly think that the Air NZ premium economy was better and the plane had a better layout.

I cannot wait to catch the train into London tomorrow to meet my friend that I have not seen in about 15 years. Cate is going to show me the sights and I am excited. I cannot wait to take some beautiful photos to treasure our time together.

Right now, I am starving and not tired.
