Fat Yoga

So today I plucked up the courage to book myself into Fat Yoga at the Kindness Institute.

I have been struggling over the last few years to find some different exercise options as we overdid RPM. Every time I think about going back to the gym, all I can think about is “oh we will be doing RPM every time” and that has put me off going back. Silly excuse really.

A few months ago, the Kindness Institute started Fat Yoga. It was so popular that it sold out pretty much overnight. Then the second round that they started was happening while I was away in the UK. Then I happened across their post on Monday this week that they were starting another on Wednesday 5th April. I paid and then booked and am looking forward to doing it with my bestie. I figure when trying something a bit different it is always good to have a ‘partner in crime’.

Booking on the 'Mindbody' app was so easy and straightforward and you can explore other exercise options!

Stay tuned!

We Don’t Talk Anymore

Over the space of about 6 months I lost two major friends from my life.

While I accept my part in each friendship ending, I also feel that they need to accept their part. Because I will never be in contact with them again it is really hard to know if they do understand their part in the breakdown and end of our friendship/s.

Today we got home to find a bag of stuff on our front door step from one of these people. It has been over a year since we last spoke and I just felt it was unnecessary to return my stuff after a year. It was not anything that had any meaning and most of it I just threw away.

The hardest thing, was it just brought up feelings that I thought I had dealt with.

I do miss this person; I just feel that too much time has passed to try and rekindle our friendship.

It is a tough one.

Friday Favs – Week 7

On the weekend we tried a new restaurant with friends. Saan in Ponsonby is Thai done with flair and the flavours are bold incredible! You will not find a green chicken curry in this restaurant and their cocktail menu is AMAZING!

The best thing, is that this happened to coincide with the Auckland Pride Parade and after dinner we managed to watch the rest of the parade go by. It has been probably over 15 years since I have been to the Pride/Hero parade and it was incredible. It was Mark’s and Deb’s first experience of one and we were not disappointed.

Great to see the staff and friends of Westpac, Air NZ, Labour Party, Placemakers and Vector (among others) supporting this fantastic event.
